Under Gil's leadership, BGN partnered with nationally led ministries and indigenous church workers to bring the gospel to unreached people groups. In 2013, Gil Lozada retired as Director of BGN and Rick Wolford assumed the leadership of the ministry. The name was changed to Bring Good News International to reflect the worldwide scope of ministry and BGNi was incorporated as a nonprofit organization in the state of Indiana.
While some things have changed since inception in 2001, BGNi carries on Gil's passion to bring the Good News of Jesus to the lost wherever the Lord leads. Over the years, BGNi has partnered with ministries in Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Thailand, China, Tibet, Egypt, Mexico, Honduras and the Philippines.
In 2022, Rick Wolford made the tough decision to retire as the executive Director. He is still very much involved and is now the board president. Kyle Heinzman stepped into the role from 2022-2025, and really served with his whole heart and came to really love and support the ministry. God led him to get involved with a new church plant and needed to step away as the director of BGNi. He currently serves on the board and is a big advocate the ministry.
As of 2025, Kerry Carmichael has assumed the role of Executive Director.
Kerry, together with her husband Aaron, shares a deep passion for missions and carries a strong belief in supporting the local church. They are committed to investing in meaningful ways that bring the gospel to communities both near and far through BGNi.
